Basic Steps in Creating a Pod Cast in the Classroom
- Brainstorm with students possible topics for the pod cast. Decide who the audience will be and the length of time for the pod cast.
- Discuss expectations/rubric for the pod cast script and the production of the audio file.
- Assign roles/responsibilities for creating the pod cast. Discuss expectations/rubric for each role in creating and producing the pod cast script.
- Create and read aloud script and after discussion make changes in the script suggested by the students and the teacher.
- Create audio/MP3 file with Audacity. Listen to the audio file and then brainstorm with students if any changes are needed for the script or file.
- Add the audio/MP3 file to RSS 2.0 feed.
- Promote/publicize the pod cast.
